Lakesha Spight, LSW

I'm a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) and I graduated from Aurora University in 2019. As a therapist, I can help clients better understand connections between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. With this new insight, clients can identify problematic patterns and challenge, replace, or reframe them. The path to change starts with identifying underlying needs and finding more effective ways to fulfill them. I work with children, adolescents, and adults from diverse backgrounds. I am specialized in treating anxiety, depression, life transitions, low self-esteem and grief and loss.

I utilize an integrative approach that combines different therapeutic approaches to best fit each client's needs and goals. My approach is influenced but not limited to CBT, DBT, Mindfulness and Strength Based therapies. I also enjoy integrating a creative arts therapy approach and utilizing games to build rapport with younger clients.

I'm committed to helping clients develop self-awareness. Life is not about what you go through, but how you get through it. Let me help you through some of life’s trials and inconveniences.

I enjoy spending time with my family creating new memories.
