Daniel Giers, LCPC, CCTP-II, CEO

I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional. I graduated from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology in 2012. I provide individual counseling with a focus on adolescents and young adults ranging from age 12 to 25. I am a practicing psychometrist and offer full psychological assessments for a variety of diagnoses to include autism spectrum disorder and ADHD (minimum age is 12 years old). My areas of expertise include PTSD, complex-trauma, dissociative disorders, and adult children of emotionally immature parents.

Through a lens of analytic psychology and feminist therapy, I help clients work through stuck feelings and negative core beliefs. I believe through reframing negative statements and analysis of these negative core beliefs, we can find wholeness and greatly improved emotional well-being. I believe each client is unique and tailor my practice to their needs. I currently see clients in Forsyth, IL. and through telehealth.

When I am not practicing, I am an adjunct professor of psychology at Parkland College and graduate social work at University of Illinois. I live happily on 2 acres of homesteading land with 4 corgis and a golden retriever who are often accompanying me to therapy sessions.
